Training in digital preservation: [Review]

Abstract

"Formação em Preservação Digital", the result of collaboration between researchers from Brazil and Colombia, stands out for providing a theoretical and practical foundation for professionals in the field. Coordinated and organized by Brazilian researchers and one Colombian researcher, the work brings together eight chapters covering topics ranging from archival diagnostics to the use of artificial intelligence in safeguarding digital heritage. The work stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, integrating knowledge from library science, archival science, and information science. The review highlights its practical nature, with methodological guides and case studies, making it a reference manual for the sector. Despite the predominance of experiences from Brazil and Colombia, the work is considered a milestone in the bibliography for its focus on professional training.
