Familiarizing project at UNICAMP

Abstract

The familiarizing Project is destined to the families of the servers attended in the program of chemistry dependent attention, or in servers that has the addicts in the Family core and has as a goal, provide informations to the families about the social questions and psychological, seeking the autonomy of his life and coping with the chemical - dependent disease. The Project provides reception by the individual or a group, helping families in their difficulties on how to deal with the issue of substance abuse; expanding its network of support providing subsidies necessary in order to enable it to live properly with the employee's illness and also take care of the disease already installed itself; codependency. The way of receive happens in two modules, being executed by a social worker, a psychologist and a trainee social service and are conducted through semi-structured interviews, workshops, lectures, wheels of conversations and exchanges of knowledge between members and professionals, but in no of the cases is disposed forwarding to therapy when observed needed. Since it´'s implementation in August 2012 to date were met 38 families and performed 189 meetings. We observed good response, especially regarding the proposal for reconstruction of family, affective and social relations. It is necessary that the family is aware of how to act with the one that is in the recovery process. Its performance is important in order to help you change your life, showing that it is possible to live a dignified, healthy and pleasurable way.
