Abstract

The commentary presents the book by Isabelle Gouarné (L’introduction du marxisme en France. Philosoviétisme et Sciences Humaines, 1920-1939). Discuss the relevance of its reading by Brazilians. It highlights the uniqueness of the work in the set of bibliography that has dealt with the history of communism, Marxism and social sciences. Roughly speaking, by treating these issues in a segmented way, it has lost the relational dimension of historical contexts marked by the genesis of political and scientific institutions. This research work offers a successful analytical alternative to escape this misconception.
