Rethinking Marxism

Abstract

The book Repensando o marxismo, by Duarte Pereira, brings together nine essays and a preface by Haroldo Lima. Most of the chapters in this work were prepared in the early 2000s – exceptions are an interview given by Pereira in 1991, in the immediate context of the crisis of international socialism and the neoliberal offensive, and a critical review of Engels' work published in 2008, date that coincides with the emergence of a new major crisis of world capitalism.
