Abstract

Filmmaker Gillo Pontecorvo's obsession with the agenda of political violence can be understood if we take into account not only the world he lived in, but the choices he made in life and with his own life. These choices constituted the unique measure of his realism, his commitment to truth, and his affection for humanity.
