Abstract
In mid-2006, a manifesto to Parliament against projects that propose positive discrimination against Brazilians with some Afro-ancestry, relaunched the discussion on combating the consequences of racism, never systematically faced by the Marxist left, which, however, has always emphasized the importance of slavery and racism in the class struggle in Brazil.
