Abstract
Among the worker-popular revolutions of the last century that began the construction of socialist formations, two stand out: the October Revolution of 1917, which transformed Tsarist Russia into the Soviet Union, and the prolonged revolutionary struggle in the former Middle Kingdom, which led to the proclamation of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
