Abstract
For millions of Brazilians who believed in the Lula government, 2003 was a bitter disappointment. However, the majority still supports the government, hoping for changes that will not come. The appearance of the government (Lula, the greatest workers' leader in the history of this country) hides its bourgeois nature (the class interests it defends), as in all governments of popular fronts, of class collaboration.
