Abstract

This book by Dainis Karepovs makes an extraordinary contribution to the historiography of the communist movement in Brazil, covering a period largely relegated to the mists of time and an already fading memory. At the beginning of the 1990s, a series of extensive works, university-based and with different approaches, shed light on the historical significance of the events of November 1935, once and for all dismantling the ideology of state repressive apparatuses.
