Abstract
For any unprejudiced mind, P. Bourdieu's work stands out, due to its breadth and the acuity of its intuitions, as one of the great theoretical works of the 20th century. However, his reception is paradoxical: the dominant readings in the publishing market whose mechanisms he dismantles so well present us with a Bourdieu close to American philosophy with analytical inspiration or a Wittgenstein and his theory of language games and forms of life , a recent issue of Critique magazine is an excellent example of this interpretation.
