Abstract
Jorge Grespan's book, The Negative of Capital, is a work that, due to its rigorous conceptual work and solid bibliography, compares to the best studies by Giannotti and R. Fausto, making it mandatory reading for all those who , among us, reflect more seriously on Marx's work. Another visible quality, even at first reading, is that relating to the elaborate structuring of the work. This is not a juxtaposition of externally linked chapters, or a mere occasional essay, but rather, effectively, it is an attempt to demonstrate a certain (controversial) interpretation of Marx's concept of crisis.
