Abstract

Globalization, neoliberalism, privatizations brings together the 22 essays presented at a seminar on the meaning and applications of modern liberal politics, held in Porto Alegre in July 1997. In addition to the introduction, by Paulo Vizentini, the contributions are grouped into four main thematic areas , the first being properly conceptual. The other areas include reports of liberal national experiences, a discussion of aspects of liberalizing policies in Brazil, in addition to a specific presentation on globalization and agrarian policies.
