Abstract
International literature, especially that of Anglo-Saxon origin and that produced by international organizations such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, has consecrated, since the beginning of the 1980s, the use of the term globalization to characterize the current process of organization of the world economy. Chesnais, by dedicating the entire first chapter of his book to deciphering the words loaded with ideology, is concerned with demonstrating that the words are not neutral, especially "global" and "globalization".
