Abstract

This is the centrality of RL's dilemmas, described and narrated, analyzed with immanence by Isabel M. Loureiro, who presents us with a truly exciting text. Originally written as a doctoral thesis, the immanent relationship that the author establishes with RL's life and work allows her to go much further, or rather, to overcome possible academic formalities. This translates into a vigorous and fruitful narrative capacity capable of giving historical meaning and current relevance to the debate, of putting RL's dilemmas on the agenda, dilemmas that were not hers, but rather of the nature, of the very character of the revolutionary process that she witnessed, theorized and in which she actively participated. Loureiro, in an unusual harmony of sensitivity and intellectual maturity, revives the political ties that Rosa's personality definitively tied to her daily life, to her most personal and intimate traits.
