Abstract
As well as being an anarchist militant and one of the main leaders of the brief anti-capitalist revolution in Paris in 1871, Louise Michel was the author of a vast literary work, including the book “Tales and Legends” (1884), aimed at children and young people. Of a didactic nature, it brings together short narratives and a short poem, which serves as an epigraph describing Michel's aim in publishing the book. In it, she recommends that her young readers read these stories as a way of drawing more skill from the past and from experience. Perhaps we can think that Jenny's Blue Notebook: Marx's Visit to the Paris Commune, in which Michel participates as one of the main characters, is based on the same premise: to extract from the fictional past and real experience greater skill for our present times.
