Roda gigante

Abstract

“Roda Gigante” presents the installation by São Paulo artist Carmela Gross, which opened at the Farol Santander in Porto Alegre in 2019. The exhibition consisted of connecting heavy objects on the floor of the former bank branch to the walls of the building using long cables, forming an extensive weave that crossed the entire central span. The book, published in a trilingual version (Portuguese, Spanish and English), consists of three parts: a presentation by Paulo Myiada, who was part of the curatorial process together with André Severo, and discusses aspects of the installation and the building itself.
