Abstract
Born on October 19, 1962, in the city of Cochabamba in Bolivia, Álvaro Marcelo García Linera has always sought to combine theoretical and political practice in his intellectual and activist career, guided by a renewed Marxism and a deep political commitment to the struggles of indigenous peoples and the working classes. It is no coincidence that today he is widely recognized as one of the most prominent intellectuals and political activists in his country and in Latin America.
