Abstract
Introduction: The 2024 Cultural Festival was a decisive
event for strengthening community ties and enhancing
participants' professional and personal experiences. With a
diverse program that included art exhibitions, cultural
presentations and musical shows, the festival highlighted
the talent and creativity of the community. Methodology:
The methodology adopted involved activities such as
capoeira, choir and drumming performances, as well as a
relevant lecture on the non-medical use of cannabis,
promoting meaningful discussions about health in an
academic environment. The event was carefully planned
over eight months, with an effective execution that kept the
public engaged. The budget of R$18,759.65 was managed
efficiently, benefiting from partnerships and voluntary
contributions. In addition, the festival had a positive social
impact, collecting personal hygiene items for charitable
organizations, and created an atmosphere of integration and
collaboration that contributed to a more motivated
academic climate. Results: The results were remarkable,
with a 32 per cent increase in the number of participants
compared to the previous edition and a strong presence
from the community. The new ‘Reflecting is also Culture’
framework and the continuity of projects such as the
‘Travelling in Reading Project’ highlight the success of the
event and the importance of continued investment in the
development of local initiatives. Conclusion: In short, the
festival not only celebrated achievements, but also laid a
solid foundation for future collaborations and mutual
growth.
