Abstract

The representation of phenomenona mobilized by nature processes is apellant at the most diverse artisticalmanifestations over the art history narratives. In this article we start from the chaos interpretation to motivate apresentation from part of the work made by Francis Alÿs, "In a given situation" (2010-2016), exhibited at the 32thBiennial of São Paulo (2016). Historical aspects from chaos studies are mobilized by perception phenomenology, aswell as the creative processes from the artist. We bound a propose around some kind of a survival and retention ofposible forms in arts related historically with the chaos idea, catastrophe, destruction.
