Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between performance art and its archival logics, aiming to outline a brief overview of the main international debates held since the 1990s by theorists such as Jacques Derrida, Peggy Phelan, Amelia Jones, Rebecca Schneider and Philip Auslander. In a second moment, I use an artistic work of my own to think about how I find in the notion of tragedy a vector to think about the performance art documentation.
