Abstract
The most important Marxist project in the area of art theory begins to come to fruition with the work of Sérgio Ferro Plastic arts and free work: From Dürer to Velázquez (Editora 34, 2015). Dealing with the art of the 16th and 17th centuries, the book presents itself as the first volume of a set whose second part will extend to contemporary art
