Abstract
Between August 1851 and March 1862, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels regularly contributed hundreds of articles to the American newspaper New York Daily Tribune. Among the almost five hundred articles produced over these years, the Portuguese translation now published by Editora Centelha Cultural Sobre a China brings some that address different themes from the current situation: geopolitics, colonialism and colonial rebellions, in the specific case of China.
