Abstract

Adventures in Marxism arrives in American bookstores almost two decades after the release of All that is Solid Melts into Air. The book is a collection of essays, a retrospective of Berman's academic production during the long hiatus that separates the publication of these two books. The introduction and final chapter are original texts composed especially for the book, the other twelve chapters have already appeared in other publications in the form of articles and reviews. One of the chapters, Marx, Modernism and Modernization was taken from All That Is Solid itself.
