Abstract
The book Reflections on the political theory of the young Poulantzas (1968-1974), by Décio Saes and Francisco Farias, consists of the transcription of dialogues held in five meetings between the two researchers in which specific texts by Nicos Poulantzas were discussed. As Farias recognizes, sometimes the text is repetitive, a result of oral discourse, “whose function is to guarantee the understanding of what is being said” (p.9). However, this discursive resource would make the idea accessible and could promote conceptual enrichment to the extent that repetition can add a new idea to the initial elaboration. The text also elucidates a series of gaps in Poulantzian theory, which culminates in rectifications and developments of this theory.
