Abstract
The current political theory of Nicos Poulantzas, a book organized by Tatiana Berringer and Angela Lazagna, presents the state of the art of Poulantzian theoretical research carried out in Brazil and Latin America in the last decade, with the exception of the chapter by Bob Jessop, an English author who contributed with unpublished text translated into Portuguese. Most of the chapters are the result of communications presented at events dedicated to the discussion of the Greek-French author, so that they could be revised and enriched after the debate processes. According to the organizers, it is not just a book of theoretical dissemination, but of positive criticism, which seeks to rectify and develop the author's concepts. For this reason, the chapters have different interpretations and positions in relation to the different works and phases of Poulantzas' intellectual trajectory, although they converge in terms of the current nature of his thought.
