Abstract
The launch in Portuguese of the book Anthropology and Power – Contributions by Eric Wolf, an important collection of articles by the recently deceased anthropologist of Austrian origin and based in the United States, constitutes an opportunity to reflect on the relationships between Wolf's ideas and intellectual tradition of Marxism.
