On the political meaning of logical positivism

Abstract

Due to the influence, on the one hand, of Lenin's Materialism and empiriocriticism, on the other, of the Frankfurtians' criticism, logical positivism, here in Brazil and in other parts of the world, was traditionally seen by the left as a conservative philosophy, or even reactionary.
