Abstract
We, the Physicæ journal’s staff, present our 11 th issue in 2015. A few points should be highlighted in the
present edition. First, we have noticed an increasingly number of submissions in English, which reflects the internationalization of Brazilian Science. Because Physicæ is an online journal and also open access, the authors’ choice for the English language makes it possible to read the papers in any other country. Secondly, we have made a great effort to bring to the readers’ attention publications from several universities and research centers, what was accomplished through the journal’s dissemination. We are opening up in this issue the proposal to visit several Brazilian states. We begin by the state of Mato Grosso, the heart of Brazil and the center of South America, with the production of the Physics Institute of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), an university now celebrating 45 years, and the University of Cuiabá (UNIC). We present a work from these insti- tutions in the invited papers section, entitled “Modelagem estatística multivariada dos conceitos relacionados à Física Ambiental” (Multivariate statistical modeling of concepts related to Environmental Physics). In addition to the paper “Orbital Order and Electronic Correlations in a Planar Model for Manganites”, which is the product of cooperation between Mato Grosso and India. Finally, we highlight the interesting works published in the areas of Geomagnetism and Porous Media, which reinforce the interdisciplinary nature of the journal.
