Abstract
This essay investigates the structural affinities between light and sound to reflect on the ontology of the technical image, based on its approximation to music as suggested by Vilém Flusser. Drawing on the wave-like nature and tonal modulations of both phenomena, it proposes an understanding of photography as a performative and vibrational image, aiming to discuss its affective potential, which becomes more intense in the environment of screens and digital technologies.
