Abstract
The book Friday is the new Saturday: How a four-day working week will save the economy, by Pedro Gomes, brings together arguments in favor of adopting a four-day work week. The measure is interpreted as a social innovation and a civilizational advance, aimed at promoting common goals for society. The arguments put forward by the author are developed mainly from dialogue with leading economic thinkers and seek to demonstrate how reducing the working week can generate benefits in different areas.
