Abstract

In this report by Dercy Teles, it will be possible to learn a little more about the first major empate in Xapuri, in 1982, and the arrests that resulted from it through the perspective of one of the first women to lead a rural workers' union in Brazil. Furthermore, this report provides important information about the methods that the Federal Police and other state agents used to try to weaken and sabotage the struggle of the seringueiros during the dictatorship.
