Abstract

Performance, because it is an ephemeral action, centered on the effective presence of the body of the performer, since its emergence in the 1960s, was always accompanied, first, by photography, then by video in its documentary forms. The controversy surrounding his legacy of art history persisted and somehow still lingers at the center of heated critical debate.
