Abstract
The online generator allows you to generate codes from the Cutter-Sanborn Table (three digits) and the PHA Table. It also allows you to use accents and cedillas. Fast and practical, it's worth checking out! The Cutter-Sanborn Table, or simply the Cutter Table, is a coding system developed by Charles Ammi Cutter in 1880, based on English surnames. This coding is normally structured based on the author's surname and represents the first three letters of the surname. In the Cutter Table, you can look up which numerical sequence represents the sequence of the author's surname. The PHA Table (acronym based on the author's initials) was created in 1964 by librarian Heloísa de Almeida Prado, along the lines of the Cutter Tables and, mainly, the Cutter-Sanborn Table, with the aim of adapting it to the peculiarities of Portuguese and Brazilian surnames.
