Abstract

Introduction: the outreach project “Workshops for the Prevention of LGBTphobia in the University”, carried out at the Federal University of São Carlos, integrates national and international scientific evidence to promote educational initiatives aimed at inclusion, equity, and human rights. Methods: based on dialogic learning and the communicative methodology, it develops hybrid training cycles across the four campuses, structured around participatory diagnosis, dialogic mediation, and the systematization of results. Results and Discussion: the workshops expanded critical understanding of LGBTphobia, strengthened support networks among LGBT+ individuals and allies, and generated institutional strategies to address the issue, such as reporting channels and protocols. The results indicate that participatory and evidence-based methodologies can transform institutional culture, although their effectiveness requires continuity and structured policies. Conclusion: the experience confirms the potential of evidence- and dialogue-based university outreach to integrate theory, practice, and social engagement, producing lasting impacts on education, social justice, and human rights.
