Abstract

The present interview closes the series Founders, dedicated to celebrate the history of the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology of the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) at Unicamp from its first professors - Antônio Augusto Arantes, Peter Fry and Verena Stolcke (then Verena Martinez-Alier), and the circumstances that date back to their happy meeting, 46 years ago. Conducted in Campinas, from November 3 to 6, 2013, by some students of the Program, the interviews are linked to the 3rd edition of the Jornadas de Antropologia John Monteiro and figure as an important document of anthropology in Brazil, approached/thought from the point of view of its protagonists.
