"Here I want whore, mystic, nun, atheist, communist": interview with Carlos Rodrigues Brandão

Abstract

Carlos Rodrigues Brandão is an anthropologist, but also a psychologist. With a broad academic trajectory, the list of universities in Brazil and abroad to which he has been and is linked is long enough to inhibit our attempt to reproduce it. But, apparently, it was at the State University of Campinas that he built most of his trajectory, still unfinished, after all, he continues to produce. An obligatory reference for scholars, especially in the rural world and in Education, Brandão wrote books that go beyond Anthropology, dealing with subjects related to Art, the Environment, and Literature, including Children's Literature. The Human with all its multiple life potential is the subject of the author's thoughts, as is evident in the free and open course he currently coordinates at his farm in Caldas, in the South of Minas Gerais state. In his words, a course that is a "meeting between people about the mystery of the person".
