Abstract
Veredas & Carnaubais are typical vegetations of the Brazilian Cerrado. The name chosen for this essay touches on Guimarães Rosa's Grandes Sertões, but also contemplates the product and the producer. The house and the inhabitant. Through fieldwork in 2021 to record the popular architecture of the 1900s and 1930s in the interior of Piauí, another perspective emerged. All that genuinely northeastern scenery had active characters.
