Abstract
The article looks at the construction of aesthetic language in camgirl performances, using concepts from psychoanalysis and aesthetic anthropology. It analyses how male fantasies, influenced by the Oedipus Complex (Freud), shape interactions with camgirls, seen as sexualized figures who allow the expression of a freer libido. Camgirl performances explore the balance between the beautiful and the sublime, creating tension and desire through elements such as suspense, lighting and costumes. In addition, they construct performative identities adapted to the demands of the market and the preferences of spectators, using fantasy characters and names. These performances are presented as artistic expressions that challenge social norms and explore male desire, revealing an aesthetic game that balances communication and concealment, keeping excitement and idealization at the heart of the experience.
