Elide Rugai Bastos, an interpretation of Brazil: an interview

Abstract

Elide Rugai Bastos is one of the leading contemporary sociologists in Brazil. In this interview, made by video call in May 2021, we dive into the trajectory and work of the professor, advisor, researcher and on her interpretation of Brazil. The intellectual talks about her research path in Brazilian Social Thought, takes stock of the area within in the broader framework of Social Sciences and highlights the current status of some of the interpretations and topics for a reflection on the country dilemmas.
