Abstract
In this essay, I present photographs taken in research conducted in the Cooperativa de Trabalho dos Profissionais da Fiação e Tecelagem de Sant’Ana do Livramento, in the extreme South of Brazil. By transforming the wool in the heart of the city, the labor in the cooperative also marks the experience in the urban world, in which there is a simultaneous struggle for space and for self-managed forms of production.
