Abstract

The review of the film "Suely in the Sky" ("O Céu de Suely"), directed by Karim Aïnouz, uses tools from social sciences and psychoanalysis, especially Lacanian theory, to think about how the protagonist's desire and idealizations about love and territory(ies) (s) that he inhabits, and/or wherever he passes, are articulated with the body and identity, producing transits and recurrences. The exit through prostitution, in this context, translates into a turning point, into the possibility of creative agency of living conditions through the adoption of a provisional name that resituates the search for money
