Urban epiphanies

Abstract

This essay is the result of the meeting between the researches of an anthropologist and an actor-researcher inspired by the challenge of thinking the relations between art and city through the approach of an empirical object: the phenomenon known as "urban interventions". How can urban interventions alter looks and how can these, in turn, alter the reality of the event itself and its relationship with the city? What are the repertoires of use of urban space that are being mobilized in such interventions? Is there in fact an emptying of the everyday experience in transit contexts? We start from readings that highlight the centrality of the body as subject and matter that transforms as it is transformed. We start from the premise that there is no meaning without experience, which happens in the relationship between people. And we start from the premise of the city as weaving, text and pretext of the vivid dramaturgical constructions that are the urban interventions.
