Abstract
In this article we present some points regarding certain relieves made by the sculptor Rodolfo Bernardelli (1852-1931). His works provide us with a dialogue with European contemporary art and, in parallel, they show a profound knowledge both of Brazilian society and of the period’s local artistic groups.
