Abstract
In the year of 1913, Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916), artist of the Italian Futurism group, sculpted four works in plaster: Synthesis of human dynamism, Spiral expansion of speeding muscles, Speeding muscles and Unique Forms of continuity in space. In this article, we intend to study these works under the concepts of Movement and Space, as well as to discuss his theories about line, light, plastic form, environment, and mainly, the representation of the human figure in motion.
