Resumen
Este texto propone examinar algunos casos de redes de apoyo y comunidades paradigmáticas formadas por migrantes y descritas por Heródoto, Tucídides, Jenofonte, Polibio y Diodoro. La discusión se centrará en las formas en que estos migrantes los construyeron, especialmente cuando lo hicieron sin necesariamente imitar las instituciones y las prácticas políticas de la polis antigua. Como aportes teóricos a la discusión, utilizamos principalmente a Malkin (2011), para los estudios sobre la formación de redes de apoyo, y a Garland (2014), para el tema de los migrantes en la antigüedad. Con esta discusión, esperamos demostrar que la migración en la antigüedad fue un motor para la promoción de nuevas formas de dinamismo social, económico, cultural y humanitario.
