Resumo
Este texto propõe-se a examinar alguns casos de redes de apoio e comunidades paradigmáticas formadas por migrantes e descritas Heródoto, Tucídides, Xenofonte, Políbio e Diodoro. A discussão se centrará nos modos por meio dos quais tais migrantes as construíram, sobretudo quando o fizeram sem necessariamente mimetizar instituições e práticas políticas de pólis antigas. Como aportes teóricos para a discussão, servimo-nos principalmente de Malkin (2011), para estudos de formação de redes de apoio, e de Garland (2014), para a questão dos migrantes na antiguidade. Com essa discussão, esperamos demonstrar que migrar na antiguidade foi motor de promoção de novas formas de dinamismo social, econômico, cultural e humanitário.
