Abstract

This article seeks to carry out a broad survey of the different bibliographic sources on public policy studies, integrating Italy and its political scenario, with the aim of identifying how the country establishes relationships with models of policy discussion and practice. Starting from the political context, the text presents a discussion on some specificities of the Italian educational context and particular historical-cultural configurations that allow a greater understanding of the direction taken by educational policies in this country. The article, therefore, allows a more readable picture of the local reality and context to be built up by confronting a wide range of aspects relevant to comparative research.
