Abstract
This presentation aims to introduce the translation to portuguese of the Johann Joachim Winckelmann’s text, “Description of the torso of Hercules in Belvedere”.
This is a comment about to the form of text construction; and this presentation is also a review of the connexion proposed by Walter Benjamin between this text and the history and formal structure of allegory.
