Abstract
This article is meant to examine the rise of the veneration of Mary, which permeated initially Century II to V, as a demonstration of popular devotion. This was allocated to cultural boundaries expressed by interpretatio a typically Christian, and this demonstration of piety undertaken by devout Christian, monks and Gentiles. The proposed documents are of great value to understand the hybridization of worship, as well as the domestication of the Marian piety by the ekklesia orthodox.
